You could, but then you can do a lot of unsafe things in life – it’s just not a very good idea at all! When your suspension is off, it’s not distributing shock from your tires correctly, which can put undue pressure on them.

This accelerates wear and tear and what’s more, your vehicle isn’t going to be level, either. From a practical standpoint, that means that a sharp turn might well turn into a roll and your tires might even burst from pressure and thinned-out treads and further reduce your control of the vehicle at the worst possible time.
